Family-Built

For 30+ years, we've been building the lightest aluminum end dumps in America so owner-operators like you can haul more, earn more, and keep more. No corporate red tape. No runaround. Just trailers that work.

What makes  Trident  different?

Trident manufactures Americas lightest, safest and most aerodynamic frameless end dump. Our cutting edge design produces a trailer with the lowest CG (center of gravity) reducing aerodynamic drag and angle of roll over by 20%. By reducing our height, weight and width Trident Trailers use less materials, are lighter, stronger, safer and more aerodynamic than any other end dump.

 This is what we did..

Fixed landing gear, no crank landing gear. This cuts 200 lbs. and generates an extra $4,000 a year for You.

50'' sidewalls vs 60'':  it's lighter to build a 32' x 50'' vs a 30' x 60'' and the cubic yard capacity is similar. 50'' sides are also safer to dump vs 60'' as your CG (center of gravity) is lower and more centered. The wider and taller you are the more expensive the trailer and the more likely it is roll over.

7 feet wide vs 8 feet: Saves weight and is 20% safer when dumping as your CG is closer to the center. It's also much easier on your tractor and fuel efficient to pull a trailer 7 feet wide with rounded nose vs 8 feet wide and a square nose.

Rounded nose vs a square nose: We only build trailers with a rounded nose for a few reasons. A rounded is cheaper, more aerodynamic, more fuel effecient and is 400 lbs. lighter, which is about $8,000 a year in profits.

No Man Door: Our rounded nose connects our side walls and is very important structurally. You will see on our 39-ft trailer the nose piece is higher vs our 30 ft. This is specifically designed this way to allow for flexing and some twisting. Cutting a big hole in the nose would affect the structural integrity of the trailer and choose an elective option over weight, price and strength.

Trident chose a width of 85'' and sidewalls 50'' tall to be able to use a rounded nose. The Romans knew 2,000 years ago that arches are stronger than flat ceilings. Round or bent aluminum is stronger vs 90 degree welds. Commercial airplanes have round windows vs square to prevent cracks and allow for flexing. Trident has a round nose to prevent cracks and allow for flexing and to save weight. It just so happens it's also cheaper!

Double side walls for only the bottom half of the wall: The lateral force pushing against the walls is greatest at the bottom vs the top. Flexing is necessary and double side walls to the top have unneeded weight and reduce necessary flexing. We actually built our Gen 1 trailer single side walls top to bottom.

The United States Airforce has 30 different airplanes to accomplish 5 core missions. .  When looking to purchase an end dump trailer you should do what the Airforce does. Identify your mission / business and then buy the trailers that are designed to haul what you are hauling.

Trident Trailers haul sand, coal, limestone and rock everyday the most aerodynamic and lightest way possible. We are the F-22 Raptor of the end dump market but come with an F-16 price tag.

The guys that say there is no money in hauling sand are pulling a 50 cubic yard trailer that ways over 10,000 lbs. B-52 pilots will also tell you they never wing in a dog fight.  Hauling sand and rock is a dogfight against weight. If you choose the F-22 Raptor you will win and make money.
